Financial update: Can you help us meet our shortfall?

Thank you for your support through the year. With your help we’ve been able to provide events and services for Falconwood. We’ve also been able to support local, national and international charities.
Below are some extracts from the provisional financial statements for 2023:

  2023 2022
Offertories £48,922 £47,204
Tax Recoverable £11,902 £11,100
Total Income £61,741 £60,889
Total Expenditure £70,606 £70,081

We forecast an increase in expenditure of 2% for 2024. Although some items will reduce, others will rise and this means expenditure is expected to exceed income by around £11,000 this year.

We do have some reserves, which we have been using to make up our shortfall in last financial year, but we cannot continue to draw from them at this rate. We need to make progress in closing the gap by increasing income. Can you help? We would ask that you consider prayerfully how you may help us close this gap.

Bishop Ridley Church provides various services for Falconwood from Babes and Toddler to lunch club for those alone in the area. We support local uniform groups, the foodbank and events like Spark in the Park. You can see below our charitable donations for 2023:
